GSDML-file to use AXC F 2152 as PN-Device
I'm intending to use the AXC F 2152 as Profinet IO-Device under a Siemens Profinet IO-Control.
The controller defaultly works as IO-D and the variables for using the device exist as "PLC.PND_S1_OUTPUTS" and "PLC.PND_S1_INPUTS", both as ARRAY[0..512] OF BYTE to be defined in an own datatype sheet (correct??).
But where can I get the neccessary gsdml-file for the implementation into the upper PN IO-C?
Thanks for comments and answers!

Hi Thomas,
the PN device is in the current firmware always acivated and has a fixed size of 512 Bytes.
In one of the comming firmware versions in 2019 it will be possible to activate/deactivate the device as well as to have a dynamic size of the device.
I've sended you the GSDML file to you mail account and have informed the productmanager to publish it also inside the download center,
Take care and have a good start into the new year!

Hi Frank,
Please send me the GSDML file too. I am also going to use the AXC F 2152 as Profinet IO-Device under a Siemens Profinet IO-Control.
Best Regards!
Amilton.
Hi Frank,
Please, can you send me the gsdml file aswell, couldn't find it at download center yet.

Frank,
Can you send me the GSDML file please?
Thanks,
Bart
Hi guys,
sorry, for answering that late, I've missed this one.
However, I've a pre version which I can send to you, but there is still a major bug inside which occurs when the device is used with a Siemens PLC as PN controller.
Unfortunately are my collegues from the developmend until mid of next week in their easter vacations, I'll ask them when they are back (now I've create a reminder for me :-)).
If you can live with the pre version just give me a mail @ fwalde@phoenixcontact.com.
Take care
I've had no the change to discuss this with my colleges from the development and I've some bad news
The problem is not directly related to the GSDML file, the issue is that especially Siemens and Beckhoff PLCs are expecting a slightly different structure of the the PN frame.
Means the PN communication is, using those kind of PLC, not possible.
It would work with a Phoenix Contact PLC as Profinet Controller.
We'll add a compatibility layer in the next firmware 2019.6 (coming end of june).
Sorry for the bad news.
Take care
Frank
Hi,
I'm a student who's working on a master thesis in Belgium. I will be doing some research on the exchange possibilities between a PLC S7-315 and a PLCnext controller.
I have some difficulties connecting both of them together. If I scan for devices online in tia portal I find the S7 and the PLCnext controller but if I do the same in PLCnext engineer the software doesn't find the S7.
I checked the IP-addresses and subnet masks but they're the same. I know the hardware configurations of the devices are correct.
I'm using PLCnext engineer 2019.9 the PLCnext controller is at the same firmware 2019.9.
So I tried already different strategies:
Is it possible to get a Gsdml file for the controller?
Kind regards,
Arne
Hello Arne,
can you give me more information about your test, please?
1. I have some difficulties connecting both of them together. If I scan for devices online in tia portal I find the S7 and the PLCnext controller
-> Is it possible to include the AXCF2152 controller (as PN-Device) in TIA-Portal via following GSDML-File (fabrikantverklaring) and exchange the Data via PN?

2. but if I do the same in PLCnext engineer the software doesn't find the S7.
-> Do you search for PN-Devices under "PROFINET"-Node -> "Online Devices" in PLCnEng and is the PN-Device function supported and enabled by Siemens PLC?
3. Is it possible to get a Gsdml file for the controller?
-> Please find the GSDML-File for AXCF2152 controller under link above.
-> Please find the GSDML-File for Siemens PLC on the siemens-Website.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Eduard
