How to install PLCnext Engineer on windows 10?
Hello, my name is joel.
I tried to install the PLCnext Engineer on two computers with the windows 10 operating system and the license error always appeared.
I opened CodeMeter did start but never started, I disabled windows defender and firewall but it still does not work.
I installed it on a computer running windows 7 and it works perfectly.
Thank you

Hi Joel,
strange, because the basic version (which I guess you are using) is for free and it is since PLCnext Engineer version 2019.0LTS not longer necessary to licence it.
Is it really the basic version (or which packet) and can you get me more details of your OS, in the link is explained how you can get the details.

I have the same problem with to windows 7 professional 64 bits systems, on a virtual machine and physical.
I try to install the latest version of codemeter. try compatibility, but always codemeter is not running.
I think the problem is how codemeter is installed by 2019.3 version
Can you help me
Hi ggamez,
looks strange, can you add the logs to this post?
You can find it here:
C:\ProgramData\CodeMeter\Logs
Thanks!
BTW.: I've moved this post to the PLCnext Engineer category

also i send you the file CMDust.
Do you think there is a problem with both machines? That the reason why im trying on a physical and in the VMachine.
Dear Frank I solved
The Virtual USB Driver for Dongle emulation causes the Codemeter doesnt work properly.
(Check the attached doc, point 3)

Hi Gustavo,
thanks for the feedback.
To be honest I'm not that familiar with the Licensing stuff, but I've asked this morning a college and he told me the same like you found.
But I was obviously too slow ?.
Next to such USB dongles could USB Ethernet adapters or changes of the CPU lead to a broken licence.
So, thanks once again ?.
