We are following steps as mentioned in Section 4.3 of um_qs_en_pc_worx_engineer_107838_en_00.pdf. In section 4.3 it mentions to scan for the device in Project → Online devices and then set an ip for device. In scan it is always showing device with start ip address on all network interfaces and that too even when there is no device in network. If device is connected in network on correct interface then it doesn’t accept any name in “Name of Station(Online)” tab. Device is connected in network and it is possible to ssh into device. Can you please tell how to connect with device?
Hello Vikash, my guess is that you see only the device currently in the Projekt not the Hardware that was found.
The “online devices” view provides a posibility to search assign found devices to the selected Hardware in the Project. → did you trigger a DCP scan with the button in the online device view? → Please make sure the Run LED and BF leds on the PLC are flashing.
→ Also please check the FW Version of your device to see if it fits to your PLCnext Engineer version.
→ is maybe DCP disabled by your firewall or something similar?
Hello Oliver, Thanks for your response, These are our response on points you have raised → Yes we used scan the network button on Project → Online Devices section. It always shows device with starting address as the list. Please note that here device exists in start and end address in Project → Settings section. → No Neither RUN nor BF(C or D) is flashing. Right now there is only one LED (D) is flashing (orange colour). Please note that device used to flash these two LEDs initially. Recently we had also faced another discussed in this thread. Sometime after that it stopped flashing these two LEDs. → Last time it was updated to 2019.03. Right now even web interface is not coming up on entering IP address on browser so can’t find the version either. PLC Next Engineer version is 2019.3 Build 3.15.193.0. → There are no firewalls rules for DCP in networks. Situation remains same even if we cross connect the device with computer and there is no firewall or network blocker in PC. Our intention is to use use AXL F RS UNI 1H for serial communication as transparent channel to another device. As per our understanding first we need to configure device(AXCF 2152) to communicate with extension card then execute commands from our application as they are mentioned in corresponding manual. Please correct if it is not so. Please give clarification on following points. Is it possible to communicate with serial extension card without using PLC Next Engineer? Is it possible to directly access serial card as a serial device(/dev/ttyS1)? Currently only PLCNext engineer software is installed and no other libraries added on top of that. Do we need to install any specific libraries to work with extension card?
Hello Oliver, We tried to reset the device. Now PLC Next Engineer is connecting with AXCF 2152. Now BF and RUN LEDs are also flashing.
