AXC F 3152 2023.9 Firmware

Hi,
I notice that 2023.9 firmware has been released for the AXC F 3152. We are keen to try, however I notice on the 3152 page (https://www.phoenixcontact.com/en-au/products/controller-axc-f-3152-1069208) that there does not seem to be an updated SDK & toolchain to match (latest SDK seems to be for 2023.0.2 LTS). I also double checked the 2023.9 firmware zip and can confirm that it contains only a few pdfs and the .raucb file. My questions is as follows :

                              1. Is there a matching SDK and toolchain for the 2023.9 firmware or are we supposed to just use the existing 2023.0.2 LTS SDK & toolchain ?

Cheers,
Lindsay

Hi Lindsay.
I’m fairly sure the SDK should be there, but there must have been a delay putting it on the website, for some reason. Page 7 of the Change Notes even mentions a change related to the SDK.
I’ll check this tomorrow and let you know.

Another related question, upon upgrading from 2023.0 to 2023.9 on 3152, it wiped the Balena Docker engine (and all our software running on it), and we are also not able to use the sudo command any longer.
Is that … normal?

Bump  Just wondering if there is an update here ?
Cheers,
Lindsay

Sorry for the delay. I was expecting the SDKs to be on the website by now, but I should have checked.
While we wait for them to appear, I have sent you temporary links to the SDKs for Linux and Windows.
If anyone else needs these SDKs immediately, please drop a comment below.

… and to fluxmodel - we’re currently working on reproducing this behaviour so we can investigate it further.

Martin,
Thanks for sending that through.
Cheers,
Lindsay

Hello fluxmodel,
to your request:

Question: Are you not able to use „sudo“ command in docker container or on the host ? Wich docker Image are you using (debian last version)?

Hi,
We were not able to run the sudo command on the host of the PLC (outside docker).

Hello fluxmodel,
I cannot reproduce this behavior. Could you contact the service department in your country and create a Zendesk ticket, please? Ask colleagues to provide the ticket to the „PLCnext Highlevel Programming and Toolchain“ group. Then we can analyze this problem together on your PLC.

Thank you, we have been in contact with Phoenix in Norway (plain email, not a zendesk ticket).
The PLC has been fully restored now, by manually setting up the environment from scratch, so I do not think it would be helpful to analyze it on the device. We could not wait as the PLC is instrumental to the type testing activities we are about to start with.
