Hi everyone,
I’m working with a PLCnext system integrated into an environment that houses zebrafish. To ensure a natural day/night cycle, certain components like the TouchPanel are powered down nightly from 21:00 to 07:00, preventing any light emission.
Upon power restoration, the TouchPanel prompts a login for eHMI access. I aim to enable users to view most of the interface without logging in each morning, as repeated logins might lead to reduced usage or neglect of the HMI’s on-site functionality.
I recall a previous forum post mentioning a solution through the Web-Based Management (WBM) to remove restrictions; no password, and then using Structured Text to selectively secure specific pages behind a login. While opening access via WBM allows eHMI usage without a login, it unfortunately also leaves the WBM itself unprotected, which is not ideal.
Is there a way to open eHMI access without compromising WBM security, or perhaps an alternate method to achieve this?
Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions!
Best regards,
Michel

Hello.
Please, give some technical details, what panel and controller you use. It seems you deal with web-panel, to access plc-based control web-page. And plc return page for enforcing user level.
If it is so, you may disable it.
изображение.pngIn this case WBM will be protected as usual, and there is no restrictions for access to contrlo eHMI pages.
Please, kindly read embedded help info, filtered by index „user auth“. For more comprehensive details.

Hello Oleksandr,
Thank you for your input. I just tried it on a live, simple setup and it works perfectly. I am using the ACX F 2152 with a Web-Panel: BWP 2070W in this case. In the situation described in the original post of this topic, I am also using the AXC F 2152 along with the WP 6070-WVPS.
Furthermore, authorized users can access eHMI pages on their desktop or mobile phone via a WireGuard VPN tunnel.
Your guidance was very helpful in navigating through the user authentication settings, especially with the embedded help information filtered by the index „user auth“. This approach does indeed allow for the usual protection of the WBM without restricting access to the control eHMI pages on either the Web-Panel or the user’s personal browser when accessing the eHMI.
Again, thank you for your assistance.
спасибо,
Michel
