hi , would you recommend installing an SD Card when using the Datalogger , both as a database and/or as a TSDB ( using the TSDB for some HMI charts) ? If so , how to setup the SD card as the destination for the the .db files or the tsdb files ? I’m using a 3152 and need to record data locally on the PLC if the network drops . Thanks
It depends on the data logger parameters, e.g. max file size and max files.
Log files are stored in the upper directory of the overlay file system, and when an SD card is installed the upper directory is moved from the internal storage to the external SD card. So log files will automatically be stored on the external SD card, if it is present.
