Hello, Is there any way to make changes made on a screen that is a background for other screens automatically refresh on those screens? I’ve got the screen named „Background“. I’ve created HMI Page Template from this screen and use it in several other screens as Background page template. When I make some change in „Background“, I have to create a new template (e.g. „Background1“ ) and manually change the assignment in all screens where this template is used. Is there any way to make such background template update happen automatically?
Hi Konrad, I’ve just tried it by myself and indeed is the background static. The reason is simple as you can only add templates as background and those are static. I’ll clarify if this has a specifc reason and if there are some ways around… Keep this post updated, Frank
Hi Konrad, sometimes it is that easy ;-). Following the idea of PLCnext Engineer are on the right site the types and if you perform a double click on the template (which is used as background) you can edit and do some changes. Those changes are than directly visible on all pages were the template is used as background. It works also basically the same like for the 61131 programing… Take care, Frank
Hi Frank, What version of PLCnext Enginner do you have? On 2021.0.2 LTS double click on the template (blue one in Components section) has no effect. Graphic editor does not open. OK. I discovered that editing templates is new feature of 2021.3 version.
