EPC 1522: Update Firmware if Hardware Version 00

Hello,
I would like to update the firmware of the EPC 1522 (BL2 BPC 1500).
I currently have: 2021.0.4 LTS.
The zip folders I find for download (2022.0 LTS and/or 2023.0 LTS) both expect a PreUpdate. However, this can only be done if you have at least hardware version 01.
According to wbm I have hardware version 00.
How can I update the firmware if I have HW 00?

Hi there,

Exactly the same issue with this very computer. I have hardware version 00, and when I try to update the firmware downloaded from the product page (https://www.phoenixcontact.com/en-us/products/box-pc-epc-1522-1185423), I get the error: Size of selected update file is too large. What should I do?

Here is the reply to the original question, which for some reason was not posted here:
Unfortunately, the unit cannot be updated in the field. Phoenix Contact will upgrade the hardware however the unit will need to be returned. Please contact your local Phoenix Contact subsidiary office or after sales support to arrange for a Service Number to return the unit so that the hardware can be updated to HW 01.
