Error while installing gcc

Hi, As part of building an image processing application on plcnext, was trying to install python imaging library “Pillow”. Also, need to install gcc as a dependancy. While trying to install gcc with ipkg I am getting the below space issue, root@axcf2152:/opt/plcnext/# ipkg install gcc Installing gcc (7.2.0-7) on /opt/.

Collected errors:

  • verify_pkg_installable: Only have 48844kb available on filesystem /opt, pkg gcc needs 219072
  • opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package gcc.

Is it possible to increase the filesystem size of /opt ? Note: Found this link - https://github.com/flobauer/phoenixcontact_fe . where they are using Pillow for an application . I have installed the required prerequisites as well. Regards, Umesh

Hello Umesh, yes you need to use a large PLCnext external SD Card.

you can buy it at www.phoenixcontact.com → your region.

or remove unused content.

If you manually configure the Overlay Filesystem or the mount in general we can not guarantee that the system as a whole or some of its features will continue functioning as intended. kind regards,
