Hi Emil, Forcing can bring the system into an undefined state, so for safety reasons, the force list is reset by PLCnext Engineer during download / download changes. ~ Martin.

Hi Emil, The feedback from the product manager is that this feature would currently be “unsafe” in PLCnext Control devices because the variable being forced may get a new type/name or address, or there may be a shift in the memory layout, which makes this more difficult to do than in traditional controllers. The product manager has promised to consider this issue, and may go ahead with a new requirement, something like “forcing should be kept in cases where there is no change in the name/type/memory layout”. However, this is definitely not something that could be resolved in the short term. ~ Martin.
