How to show the humidity on a web page

I want to show the humidity on my webpage but I cant find the variable for it like I’ve found for the temperature. Im using LD code.

I can see in the PLCnext E that the humidity are shown under "Cocpit" and "Device"

PS
How can I add pictures to this post? It would be easier to show a picture of the issue.

There is a discussion here about where to find humidity information in a „file“ on the Linux file system:

https://www.plcnext-community.net/forum/#/discussion/comment/1262

It may be possible to read the contents of this file from PLCnext Engineer to retrieve the "live" humidity value.

I agree that it would be very useful to be able to add pictures and attach files to posts. The forum administrators are aware of this issue and I am told that this feature will be available at some point in the future.

Hi pudderjagar,

as Martin have alredy mentioned those informations are part of the Linux Sys FS Interface.https://kernel.org/doc/Documentation/hwmon/sysfs-interface
The device interface (which is used for the Cocckpit) reads those files. Even if there are for now no system variables for all those information available you can do the same using the PLCnext Base Library https://plcnextstore.com/1035.

With the functionblock PBCL_SYSLinuxShell you can call from your application the following command.
--> cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon0/humidity1_input

This will return the humidity value in milli percent (refer more details in the sysfs documentation above).

This sounds maybe more complicated as it is, but as you already mentioned the screenshot feature in the forum is highly demanded. If you need an example or screenshot, I can sent you one per mail.

Just let me know.

Frank

Hi Frank

It would be great if you can send me a example and/or a screenshot. Im already using the PLCnext Base Library librarie in this project.

A screenshot has been sent by email.
