Hello, I don’t really know the exact difference between an in/out Port and a External. If I use externals everywhere, I am also able to write to the PLC variable that is created. What are the pro’s of using In/Outports then? Or which one should I use? Thanks, Arne
Hello Arne You can use external variables as global variables in your PLCnEng project. If you have implemented C ++ or Matlab Simulink Application and the data has to be exchanged between applications via GDS, use the port variables.
