Is the PLCnext Engineer scalable?

Hello, Is the PLCnext Engineer scalable? If we deploy an EtherCAT master or other application in PLCnext’s Linux system. can we embed the EtherCAT master configuration tool into the PLCnext Engineer for easy to use? Can we insert our own plug-ins in the PLCnext Engineer? Thanks, Luke

Hi luke, for now it will not be possible to create own “plug-ins” for PLCnext Engineer. But it would be possible to use the librarybuilder to create a components with in and out ports as representative for the bus-configuration.

Depends now a bit on your integration and if there is a configuration tool available and how open it is… However, I’ll get in contact by mail with you for a more detailed clarification. Take care Frank
