Model-based languages like Matlab/ Simulink or Modelica (FMU/ FMI)

Dear all I have got a question regarding the use of model-based languages: If I prepare a matlab simulink model library and download it to Plcnext, it is possible to monitor and manipulate the model with the Plcnext engineer add-in for matlab simulink, right? Further, is it possible to use other model-based programming systems like „Modelon Impact Modelica“? Is it possible to use FMI/FMU-Models with PLCnext? Thank you for you feedback. Regards Martin

Hey Martin, if a model was built with the „Model Exporter“ setting in Simulink, it can of course be monitored and tuned after integration in Engineer. Regarding the support of Modelica: The FMI Toolbox of Modelon is currently not supported and therefore also in the in- and export of FMI/FMU models. But we are discussing this topic internally, if we will enable this in the future. Depends on the market demands. Take care, Frank
