this looks like there might be something wrong with the connection options you added to the config file.
Please recheck the connect options according to the documentation.
Is the SSL Certificat at the right place?

Hello, Can you please check that all the certificates you are using have read permissions for all users. You can also try using openssl on the PLC command line to test the connection with the AWS server, using the same certificates. If this does not work then there is a problem with the AWS configuration and/or the certificates. If the openssl connection to AWS does work, and you are still having problems with the MQTT client app, please let us know.

There could be a few problems. The PLC is connected to the internet, right? You can ping external web sites (like www.google.com) from the PLC? If this works then there it is probably something wrong with the AWS configuration and/or certificates. It has been a while since I set up an AWS device, so I cannot remember exactly how to do this. Here is some information from AWS on diagnosing connection issues - you could try this command from a Windows or Linux machine to eliminate the PLC as the cause of the problem.

Hello, I guess that you are looking at the error message for this port - Arp.Plc.Eclr/MainInstance.PubMessage ? As mentioned in the technical documentation for that app:
Ports on PLCnext Engineer programs must be specified in the following format: Arp.Plc.Eclr/ProgramInstance.PortName … where ProgramInstance must be the name of the program instance in the PLCnext Engineer project, and PortName must the name of a port variable defined in that program
So you must create a Program in PLCnext Engineer with at least one port - data to publish should be in an OUT port. According to the error message, this port variable must be called
PubMessage. The program containing this port variable must then be instantiated in a task - according to the error message, this program instance should be calledMainInstance. Then, the project must be downloaded to the PLC, and the PLC should be restarted. The error message should then disappear. Hope this helps. - Martin.

That error message is unrelated to the MQTT app. It is a symptom of a known issue with the Profinet stack, but should not cause any ill-effects in your project. - Martin.
