The server certificate is self-signed, and not signed by a trusted CA that is known to the client. This is a common issue that is discussed (for example) here:
Why are self signed certificates not trusted and is there a way to make them trusted? I have locally made a Root CA certificate. I used the CA cert to sign the IA cert and used the IA cert to sign the server certificate. When I try to access the local server which uses the server That Q&A uses a “browser” as a client, but the same applies to any client, e.g. an OPC UA client like UaExpert.
As mentioned in the Q&A, the simplest solution is to add the server certificate to the client’s trust store. You will need to check the documentation for the client to find out how to do that.
Hi Bomoirau,
May I suggest that you use the controller IP as the endpoint. The AXC-F-1152-1 doesn’t work on many UPC_UA applications.
For the use with UAExpert, have a look at my settings:
In most applications, it is not necessary to make any changes to the Discovery Server or the File system settings.
For me those settings work with UAExpert.
