To Whom It May Concern: I am new to the PLC programming world, and come from more a enterprise software development background, so a few things are eluding me so far. What is the difference in using PC Worx Engineer for the visualization on HMI, opposed to PLC Next Engineer software? Can I achieve anything in the one software tool, that I cannot achieve in the other? Is one preferred over the other for any reason? Please advise. Thanks in advance!
Hello jacquesvisagecgbs, PLCnext Enginner IDE and PCWorx / HMI IDE are different environment tools that offer a special type of programming. I think the following evaluation will help you: PLCnext Engineer IDE was developed, on the one hand, to offer all engineering tasks such as programming, visualization and security together and, on the other hand, to develop according to the latest usability standards. PC WORX IDE, on the other hand, has proven itself a million times over since the early 2000s, but will not be further developed in the future. We therefore advise all of our customers to use PLCnext Technology instead. Best Regards Eduard
