Just as described in the description, when I try to run simulation (PLCNext Engineer 2023.0 Build 6.0.257.0, Revision 9d37cc20, Simulation AXCF2152_2022.0, 1.0.0.52) I see warning „Could not find license for simulation. (MSG_ONL0161)“.
I tried reinstall (by Installer/Repair) PLCNext Engineer and Simulator but result always the same.
Does Simulator require separate license?
For the simulation of anything other than an AXC F 1152, yes.

Thank you.
Hi,
I’ve purchased and activated my license for the 2152 PLC sim, but still in PLCNext Engineer it reports the same error - it appears it is grabbing the basic license installed when PLCNext Engineer was installed. Removing the basic license causes PLCNext Engineer to fail to start. How do I get PLCNext Engineer to use the new license with the 2152 PLC SIM?
Hi Phil,
It seems that the SIM license cannot be found. The question here is whether it is also on the PC. This should be checked using the Codemeter Control Center app and the Webadmin button under License Monitor.
It may also be that the license is invalid because it may have been used/activated multiple times.
In this case, email customerservice[at]phoenixcontact.com.au with the details.
If you delete the basic license, you cannot start PLCnext Engineer. A new uninstallation and reinstallation would have to be carried out.
