PLCnext memory without SD card

Hi team, I have one question about the memory in the PLCnext. If I’m right, any PLCnext could run with or without SD card (it’s optional).

                                               * If the PLC has SD card, all the Linux directories are mounted on SD card. (If I'm wrong, let me know it).
                                               * If the PLC has no SD card, all the Linux directories are mounted on RAM memory and tha capacity is 500Mb (in case of AXC F 2152).

The question is, if I’m working without SD card, as the memory that is used is the RAM memory, is volatile? Could I lose my data by turning off and on the plc? Thanks for your support!

Hello, You are right. As described in the User Manual for the AXC F 2152 (here and here), a PLCnext Control can run without an SD card. Files won’t be lost without an SD card - it has non-volatile internal memory.

OK, Thank you Martin.
