Hello, >>How is it possible to obtain the code of an installed application, to be able to modify it with PLCNext engineer

PLCnext Store currently offers apps of the type “Solution” and “Library”. Further app types are coming soon.
For the moment we have decided to offer a closed solution.
That has the following reason:
- A solution contains expert knowledge. We think the expertise should be protected and licensed. I also think it’s fair to demand money for this.
- The target group of a solution are users who don’t want to or can’t program. With the Store, an application can be commissioned without using the PLCnext Engineer.
- Of course, there will be users who are not satisfied with the solution. These users have the possibility to go to the contributor of the solution and ask him to make a change. With an app there is a “request on customisation” button. This allows the contributor to offer a service to the user.
- A solution is not a programming example. I think you want to use a solution as a programming example ?

I have wrote a FAQ: https://www.plcnext-community.net/index.php?option=com_fss&view;=faq&tmpl;=component&window;=1&faqid;=113&Itemid;=433⟨=en
That’s a good idea. A kind of “Appetizer app”
There’s one thing we need to keep in mind here: A solution contains libraries. These libraries are also licensed. Maybe the libraries cost money.
One possibility is to offer a solution openly, for the price of the sum of the libraries. (Lib A + Lib B + Lib C = 10 € + 20 € + 5 € = 35) Please discuss this point once in your subsidiary > How is it possible to delete this application from the PLC, so that it can be possible to installa new one (from PlcNext Store)
There is an uninstall button.
This button can only be used when your device is online.
uninstall > How is it possible to delete this application from the PLC, so that the PLC is ready to use a simple PlcNext engineer application (without reset to default) With the new firmware it is so solved: After you have uninstalled an app in the PLCnext Store, the PLCnext Control restarts. Then you can use the Engineer to transfer an application to the device. If there is an application on the PLCnext Control before an app is installed, it will be deleted. Daniel
