I’m currently delving into the possibilities of enhancing my project workflow by incorporating Sequential Function Charts (SFC) within PLCnext Engineer. Although I’ve (always) relied on Machine States/Modi using CASE statements, selectors, and helpers, I’m keen to explore how SFC could offer a more streamlined and perhaps clearer approach for future projects.
The PLCnext Help documentation provides a solid introduction to Programming SFC, but I find myself yearning for a more hands-on learning experience. There’s something about „reverse-engineering“ from an actual example that really solidifies my understanding and application of new concepts.
Therefore, I’m reaching out to see if anyone in our community could point me towards any example projects that extensively use SFC Function Blocks within PLCnext Engineer. I’m particularly interested in projects that demonstrate the full range of features available in SFC, offering a practical and tangible reference from which to learn.
Additionally, if there are any e-learning modules or resources specifically focused on SFC within PLCnext Engineer, those recommendations would be greatly appreciated as well.
