Seeking engagement on Access Control feature request for PLCnext Engineer HMI

I am reaching out to follow up on my previous request regarding the enhancement of access control within the PLCnext Engineer HMI interface. I proposed a more detailed login feature to improve system flexibility and usability, addressing existing needs. I’ve noticed this request has not yet received a response, which I find disappointing, especially in light of the prompt feedback received on other matters. https://www.plcnext-community.net/forum/#/discussion/3675

This situation seems to imply a disparity in how feedback and user suggestions are prioritized, which can be concerning. https://www.plcnext-community.net/forum/#/discussion/3681

I understand the challenges in implementing every proposal, but even a simple acknowledgment or status update - by someone from the PLCnext team - would be highly valuable. This particular adjustment, in my view, represents a significant enhancement closely aligned with the platform’s current operational requirements and user expectations.

In the meantime, I have developed a custom login solution that, unfortunately, is not making use of the WBM’s account management and its associated roles and logging capabilities, offering an increased level of security. https://www.plcnext-community.net/forum/#/discussion/3659 Revisiting this matter, it appears that integrating such a feature into PLCnext Engineer could be straightforward for the development team, ultimately leading to a solution that provides greater control over HMI access permissions.

I am hopeful for a more dynamic and open collaborative effort towards enhancing the PLCnext platform.

Looking forward to a more engaging and responsive exchange on this and future topics that could improve the PLCnext experience.

Best regards,
Michel
