Unable to find online devices

Hello, my colleague never gets a result, when using the DCP scan of the PLC Next Engineer for searching online devices (occurs on both PCs he is using). When changing his IP address to 192.168.1.xx he was able to connect to the device but still didn’t get a result with the DCP scan. With my PC I was able to find the device using the same version of PLC Next Engineer. The current configuration is:
[] AXC F 2152 with Firmware 2021.0.3 LTS [] PLC Next Engineer 2021.0.2 [] direct ethernet connection to the PLC [] static IP address assigned
What we tried to fix the issue:
[] uninstalled all versions of PLC Next Engineer [] uninstalled NCAP [] reinstalled PLC Next Engineer and with the installation also installed the needed version of NCAP [] disabled the firewall
What other issues can be, that the online device can’t be found with the DCP scan?

Hello Fabian, if you have selected the right network adapter, it should be possible to find the PLC via DCP scan. Can we start a remote session and try to find the cause of failure together? For remote session please download and run the FastViewer application: http://fv.phoenixcontact.com/client/fastclient.exe Please send me the time point when we can start the remote session, then I will provide you the session number. Thanks & Best Regards Eduard

With Netnames+ it was possible, to discover the online device and change the IP address. We also tried another tool “Profinet commander” , which uses DCP to discover profinet devices and also with this tool, it was possible to find the PLC but not to change the IP address.

Hello Fabian, could you show me your steps via remote session? Please download and start: http://fv.phoenixcontact.com/client/fastclient.exe The session number is: 48259 I’m waiting for you..

If with Netnames+ was possible, to scan the online device and change the IP address, it should be also possible with PLCnEng. Please note, the “Profinet commander” is a third party tool and will be not supported by Phoenix Contact.

Hi Eduard, sry I’ve missed the session. I don’t have direct access to the PCs where the scan with PLCNext Engineer is not working. But overall the procedure is the same as on my own PC where everything is working. - Creating a new project with device AXC F 2152 FW 2021.0.0 - Change the IP address range and gateway in the project - Change the IP address of the device in the project - navigate to Project → Online devices set the network adapter and starting the scan.

Hello Fabian, thanks you for your reply. Please do not forget to change the IP settings of the network adapter. It should be in the same subnet. The PN Controller/PN Device default functionality should be not deactivated by user. Then it should be possible to scan the PLCnext controller (PN Controller/PN Device). Best Regards Eduard
