Where to download the SFC extension

Dear people, I want to program my project in Sequential Function Chart, but I can not find the extension to be able to program in SFC. Does anyone know where I can find the extension? Kind regards, Bart Minten

Hi Bart, The SFC exension is one of the few features of PLCnext Engineer that is not free. Your local Phoenix Contact office will be able to discuss this with you. Regards,

Martin.

As Martin has mentioned above, the SFC programming language is depending on the license key you have. Same for the safety functions when using the RFC 4072S. As for the SFC license: Phoenix has made some nice modifications for the SFC programming. One that I find very useful is the “inline transitions”. This makes it more visual how the transitions are activated. you are able to see the conditions that will trigger the transition in your program without to have the transition open. In fact, it is just a ladder programming that you can connect to the transition. Works well for me. Peter Paul

Hi guys, I just like to add that the PLCnext Engineer installation comes with trial licenses for SFC, Profisafe and Simulink Model viewer that lasts for two weeks. To activate the trial close PLCnext Engineer and navigate to this path C:\\Program Files\\PHOENIX CONTACT\\PLCnext Engineer 2020.6\\Licenses, then doubble click the license to use. At least that worked for me.
