How to format a commercial SD card for PLCnext controller

Hello PLCnext team,

 

I have a question about SD card for PLCnext controller.

I read a few articles regarding SD card in this forum

I found that only two SD cards(2GB and 8GB) from PhoenixContact are available for now.

In addition, SD card must be formatted in a proprietary way. So, commercial SD card can

not be used for PLCnext controller.

But, I need to urgently use the 8GB SD card to store data from sensor all day.

So, could you please let me know how to format the SD card to use commercial SD card in PLCnext controller (AXCF2152) ?

If it's not possible, please let me know. I need to find an alternative way.

    Hello,

    I am afraid that the use of non-Phoenix Contact SD cards is not supported in PLCnext Control devices.

    Hi,

    I have had the same experience with non-PLCnext-SDs. For a short test I cloned an image on another SD and the controller did not start. There seems to be a mechanism to prevent this, but it is well understandable ;)
