How to change the operating mode of AXL F PWM2 1H (1007352)

edited April 2020 in PLCnext Engineer

Hi,

One customer want to use the AXL F PWM2 as Pulse generator, but only the PWM mode can be selected in PLCnext Engineer 2020.3 or 2020.0.

Can you tell me how to change the operating mode of AXL F PWM2?

Thank you!

  • Hi chenshijin,

I understand that this issue has been solved via email.

    For others:

This is caused by a problem with the device definition in PLCnext Engineer. This will be fixed in a future version of PLCnext Engineer, but if anyone needs a fix before then, please let us know.

  • Hi Martin,

The new fdcml is working, Thank you.

    Best regards

  • Hello,

I think I have the latest version of software that solved this problem. In the db_en_axl_f_PWM2 manual I can't figure out how to change the operating mode. Is this done with OUT port OUT64?

  • You should be able to change the operating mode in PLCnext Engineer, here:

If this doesn't suit your application, please let us know.

  • No worries, I hope it works now.

Just to clarify: The manual for the PWM module does not mention configuration in PLCnext Engineer, because a PLCnext Control device is only one possible way that this PWM module can be used - it can also be used with (for example) all the Axioline Bus Couplers, which are also Axioline masters. Each type of Axioline master might configure Axioline slaves (like the PWM module) in their own way, and the developers of the PWM module cannot know all the ways that an Axioline Master will configure Axioline slaves. So, the PWM manual only describes the low-level configuration interface, which PLCnext Engineer hides behind the configuration screen I posted earlier.

    I hope this makes sense.
