PROFINET COMMUNICATION DANFOSS
Hi colleagues!
I am doing tests with a Danfoss Drive and our AXC 2152 (firmware 2020.3) by Profinet communication. I currently have version 2020.3 of PLCNEngineer and everything works correctly. But I wanted to update to the latest version 2020.6 and when loading the same code/program Profinet communication with VFD fails.
This is part of a very important project, for which, the customer also has AXC 2020.3 (firmware 2020.3) but it has version 2020.3.1 of PLCNE and it does not work either.
I made a video to demonstrate that the same code when loading in version 2020.6 fails. Excuse the editing of the video, I hope you understand.
Find the video in this link: https://we.tl/t-BgZxIrZCrm
Please help and a possible solution to this issue. This is pretty urgent.

Hi Ivan,
I have watched the video and I do not see anything that is immediately obvious.
I have sent this to our PLCnext Engineer support team, but it will be Monday before they see this.
I have highlighted the urgency of this case to them.
Regards,
Martin.
I have run some test with inverters from ABB (ASC880) and Lenze (i550) and got the some issue.
Could look like we have a bigger bug in the latest version of PLCNext Engineer or the firmware.

We are currently attempting to reproduce this issue.

Hi Martin,
sounds good! Think it was a good thing that this issues was highlighted here in the forum. Could been an issue if someone updates an existing project and runs in to this issues. Better you have a look and give a feedback.

Hello,
thank you for your cooperation.
I can now confirm that some PN Devices (confirmed for now Danfos VFT) have problems with PLCnext Engineer > 2020.3.0.
I hope we can resolve these issues as soon as possible.
I will keep you updated on further progress of the investigations.
Note:
This does not have anything to do with the PLC FW you are using.
It is purely an issue of the generated project configuration.
Workaround:
It seems like the Danfos Drive does not like the MRP-Client settings of PLCnext Engineer > 2020.3.1
You can get it to work for now by disabling the MRP Client
kind regards,
Oliver
I have run a test with Engineer 2020.6.2 and a Danfoss FC280 / FC 302.
Here i did not need to change the MRP settings.
The same applies for ABB ACS 880 and Lenze i550 inverters.
