MQTT client by PAHO

Dear people,

When the PLCnext connects to the MQTT broker on my laptop then the PLCnext will constantly start a reboot over and over again. The log file says that the last reboot is caused by a hardware watchdog. Below you can see a print screen of the logfile and mqtt_gds.settings.json file.

    Hi Bart,

    It looks like you are using the MQTT Client app from the PLCnext Store.

    Unfortunately that app is not compatible with the firmware version you are running.

    We are working on a replacement for that app, in the form of a Function Block library that allows an MQTT Client to be implemented directly in a PLCnext Engineer project. It may be possible to give you a pre-release version of that FB library - please talk to your contact in Phoenix Contact Netherlands about this, and ask them to contact me if necessary.

    Hi Martin,

    This is Xinjun from ABB inc in USA. I would like to have this pre-release version too. Here is one project with MQTT client in AXC F 2152. I would ask my contact in USA to request this pre-release version from your side. I would appreciate very much if you can share with us.

    The MQTT Client library for PLCnext Engineer should be available in the PLCnext Store on Friday 26 February. I have also informed my colleagues at Phoenix Contact USA that you may be in touch with them to discuss this.

    Thank you  very much for the updating. I am looking for it shown up in store soon.

    By the way, does this client library have limitation that only supports one MQTT Broker connection in one PLC device?

    Hi Xinjun,

    With the new library you can create as many MQTT Client instances as you want, and each client instance can connect to the same or different MQTT brokers. So, I'm happy to say that it does not have that limitiation.
