CANOpen
Hello,
This may be a dumb question but here is my situation, I have two PLCs that is connected in the same CANbus and I want to use the CANOpen protocol. I just want to know if I need an EDS file for the other PLC or is it only required if I use a bus coupler which is IL CAN BK-TC-PAC (2718701) ?
Thanks

I'm sorry to say that nether on the PLCnext team is a real CAN expert, so we've to pass your question to one of our experts.
Could you please describte a bit more in detail which kind of CAN moldue you are using and how your configuration should be?
To give you a fast reply it would be great if you could add as much information as possible.
Thx,
Frank
I am using two AXC F 2152 (2404267) and two AXL F IF CAN 1H (2702668). Also, I am using CANbus_10 library.
I really am beginner here and I am not sure if I am asking the right questions but this is regarding CANOpen protocol, I would like to know how am I going to set a node id to the PLC so that I can have my COB-ID. Do I need to use a software to configure these kind of things?
Thanks
thanks for the details.
I've spoke with our specialists and the AXL F IF CAN 1H with the used library is extremly flexible, but there is defenetly experience needed.
