  • When you say "find the plcnext", do you mean:

    1. find the PLC in the Search window in PLCnext Engineer?
    2. Connect to the PLC from PLCnext Engineer?
    3. Open an SSH connection to the PLC from a Windows command prompt?

    For (1), please check:
    - the correct adapter is selected in the drop-down list in the Project -> Online Controllers window.

    - the WiFi device is a Layer 2 device. The DCP protocol used to discover PLCnext Control devices is a layer 2 protocol, so cannot be routed.
    - If these don't work, you could try assigning the required IP address to the PLC using the direct cable connection, and then switch to WiFi for programming.

    For (2), please check:
    - the correct adapter is selected in the drop-down list in the Project -> Online Controllers window.
    - The IP address of the PC's WiFi adapter is in the same subnet as the PLC.

    For (3), please check:
    - The IP address of the PC's WiFi adapter is in the same subnet as the PLC.
