hmi looping with connection with the plc could not be established
My application with a web hmi runs for hours and days, but sometimes the web hmi get's into a loop with the message "A connection with the PLC could not be established, Retrying in x seconds...". It never resolves and goes on looping for days. For now the only solution is to close the web browser and start the web browser again. I occurs on PC's with MS edge, but also on a Exor web panel.
Now I wonder; is there something on the side of the PLCnext that I can adjust or detect and take action to get it resolved automatically? Or is the setting on the PC side that needs tweaking?
Any suggestion might help...
Kind regards, Wilco

When the page is refreshed, do you get the error message "Your connection isn't private"? I've seen this issue with MS edge. If you continue past this message, it seems to be after some time (24-48hrs) that it times out. It causes the HMI application to get stuck in a loop until refreshing the browser and accepting the untrusted certificate again. The resolution for us was to re-generate the HTTPS certificate with the new IP addresses, and add that certificate to the trust stores on the HMI PC.
Again I have the save situation, only it happens at kind of fixed intervals of exactly 7 days. I did do a proper installation of the certificate on the browser. It happens with all 3 stations, showing a hmi by a webbrowser. The hmi is made inside PLCnext engineer. I also did the test with MS edge and Google Grome. And als on Windows 10 and 11 machines.
Does anyone experienced the same problem as I do? Please let me know.
