profinet link between AXC F 2152 and Siemens S7-1200

Hello to all of you,

I need to make a profinet communication between an AXC F 2152 and a siemens S7-1200 PLC. The goal is that the Phoenix contact PLC reads the inputs and can operate an output in the siemens PLC.

The problem is that I don't know how to do this. First I have to add a module in the plcnext engineer software (see screenshot) but I don't know which one.

Could you please explain it to me?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

    Hello kevled,

the first thing you need to do is include the Siemens PLCs GSDML file into the PLCnext Engineer project.

Once you have that the PN Device can be added to the project.

    https://engineer.plcnext.help/2022.6_en/ComponentsArea_ImportDeviceDescription.htm

Siemens has to provide the GSDML File unfortunatly I can not say which file version etc. you need.

    kind regards,

    Oliver

  • Good morning, sir,

First of all, thank you very much for your reply. I was able to retrieve and integrate the GSDML file from the Siemens PLC. But I have a problem with the following message: Warning: Revision does not match! project:"online"

I have a version 1/V4.5 GSD file with TIA Portal V17 and a version 1/V4.2 GSD file with TIA Portal V15.1 but neither version works. Do you have any idea which version I should use for the GSDML file?

Or is the problem something else?

For information, I am using the firmware 2022.9 for the Phoenix contact PLC and the PLCnextEngineer 2022.9 software.

Thank you in advance for your answer

  • Hello kevled,

"The Revision does not match" is only a warning and not a critical issue in most cases

It is possible that you still have to adapt some submodules or change settings to match what the PLC has configured.

Double click the siemens menus in the profinet sub categoy.

Is the Profinet PLC configured to recieve IPs from its PN Controller?

(I can not see in the screenshot if the Device got the ip 192.168.1.2 assigned. Also make sure no other device in your network has IP 1.2)

    Kind regards,

    Oliver
