if there is anyone with all the steps and pics please help
Please show the client configuration you're using in UaExpert.
Please also describe the result when you try to use that client configuration in UaExpert to connect to the OPC UA server in the simulation.
The problem is I can't really set up the ua expert properly, when I add a sever by typing ip address it doesn't pick up anything
Here is a UaExpert client configuration that works with an AXC F 1152 simulation running on the same device.
Can you please show your client configuration in UaExpert.
Thank you I will try this, will let you know how it goes, do you have the configurations for the simulator 1152 as well? I'd appreciate that as well
That UaExpert configuration connects to the OPC UA server in the 1152 simulation running a default PLCnext Engineer project - i.e. the template PLCnext Engineer project with no changes.
Thank you I will try
i do not know what is wrong here
The first screenshot of UaExpert shows that it has successfully connected to tbe OPC UA server in the AXC F 1152 Simulation. So the OPC UA Server is running and can be accessed by correctly configured clients.
I don't know what the second last screenshot is - the one with the black background - but I assume it's a different OPC UA client (although the window looks like it might be for an OPC DA Client, not OPC UA). I would like to suggest that you contact the vendor of that client software, since you have already shown that the problem is not with the Phoenix Contact OPC UA server.
the second last is factory io
Hello Martin,
i am currently facing a similar problem. I am simulating an AXC F 3152 and i am not able to connect to the OPC UA Server via UA Expert. Do you have any Idea what could be the Problem?
WBM is available and works:
Hello Harm,
in the first step please try to establish the OPC UA connection via Messsage Security Setting "Sign" and PLC IP-Adress as Endpoint (set the Ip-Adress of PLC network interface under Endopoint Url e.g. "opc.tcp://192.168.2.10:4840"):
Please let me know, if the connection can be stablished.
BR Eduard
Hello Eduard,
Thank you for your suggestion. I tried to change the Security Mode to "Sign" but i still get the same error.
I am not sure if i made clear that i am running a simulated PLC at the same PC, since you suggested to change the IP to the PLC network interface. Anyway i also tried to change the adress, no effekt.
But i have noticed something: If i start the simulation (without my projekt written to the simulation) i am able to connect to the server (at localhost). After writing my Projekt the PLC restarts and a connection is not possible anymore.
So it seems that there is problem with my configuration, but i have no idea where. I tried different settings without an effekt. This is the current configuration:
Hello Harm,
one of the available security configuration must be activated for OPC UA communication. Please try to activate Basis 128 RSA and Basis 256.
BR Eduard
Hello Eduard,
i tried again with activated Basis 128 RSA and Basis 256.
Still the same problem.
I thought this errormessage from UA Expert sounds like there is simply no server at the given url.
So i checked the error log of the simulated PLC via WBM and found this:
Error while starting the OPC UA Server. Configured Nodename is not reachable.
Because of that massage i changed this setting (maybe there is a wrong node that shut be published)
But i still get the same error, OPC UA Server crashes while starting up...
Do have any further ideas`?
kind regards
Harm
Hello Harm,
may be on your OS another OPC-UA Server is already running and the Port 4840 is not available?
Please check under Services e.g.:
If not, is it possible to provide me the /opt/plcnext/logs/Output.log file, please? We can analyze this issue together, please send me your email address and I will create a ticket.
Thanks & BR
Eduard
Hello Eduard,
i have checked the windows services and couldn't find any running server that is blocking Port 4840.
Attached you will find the Output.log file
is there a private message function to sent you my email adress?
Hello Harm,
I cannot download the Output.log file (no permissions). Please contact Automation Support to create a ticket: Kontakt | Phoenix Contact
Tel: +49 5235 3-11000
E-Mail: support@phoenixcontact.de
Please ask the colleague to assign the ticket to "PLCnext Highlevel Programming & Toolchain" Support Team. I will then contact you via your email address.
