AXL SE AI4

AXL SE AI4, how do I scale this card to get a linear reading? This data from the manual shows very nonlinear input. I would expect if 20mA is equal to 16000, then 10mA would be 8000. But, 8000 is used for diagnostic codes. How do I get a linear scale or how do I use this for an output that needs scaled?

    Hello Jeffro,

    ok, thanks for the Feedback. I'm glad that you found the solution yourself.

    Here is the short explanation:

    The Range begins by 4mA = 0 Digit

    4mA = 0Digit;

    20mA = 16000Digit;

    0,001mA = 1Digit;

    Calculation:

    20mA: 20mA- 4mA = 16mA

    Digit: 16mA * 1Digit/0,001mA = 16000

    ________________________________________________

    10mA: 10mA -4mA = 6mA

    Digit: 6mA * 1Digit/0,001mA = 6000

    ________________________________________________

    5mA: 5mA -4mA = 1mA

    Digit: 1mA * 1Digit/0,001mA = 1000

    Result: The Input is linear:
