PLCnext Engineer cannot find the Codemeter license (error 200).

Hello,


We have the following problem in our training lab:

PLCnext Engineer cannot find the Codemeter license (error 200).

In fact, there is no license in the CodeMeter Control Center.


We have tried several solutions (based on older answers in the forum on this topic):

- PLCnext Eng. reinstallation and/or repair

- We tried different PLCnext Eng. versions (2024.6, 2023.0.5, 2024.0.4, 2022.0.)

- Deleting the AppData data from the PHOENIX CONTACT directory after uninstall

- Deleting the Code-Meter data from the CmAct directory and then reinstalling PLCnext Eng

We have tried many different combinations of the above steps.


Manual activation of the Basic License using the Activation Wizard is also not possible.

We were only able to import the emergency license, which is not an option for our internship lab due to the limited usage period (4 days).

Reinstalling the computer is not an option at the moment, which is why we would be very grateful for any suggestions for activating the basic license.

    The problem is still not solved!

    I uninstalled all software from phoenix, wibu(Codemeter) and purged all remaining registry entries containing "Phoenix", "CodeMeter" and "wibu".

    Booting machine 2 times and fresh installation of PLCnext Engineer 2023.0.5 results in the same problem, i.e. no licence found (200).

    The CodeMeter Control log shows:
