How to use the second ethernet port
Hi,
As part of the project requirement I need to use 2 Ethernet ports of AXCf 2152. One for the web application and other dedicated for a device to be connected for an image processing application.
Can we use the 2nd port dedicated for another device? If then how to handle the scenario?
Is there any help on configuring the second ethernet port?

Umesh

Hi Umesh,
currently you can use the both ports of the AXC F 2152 just as a switched port.
At midterm (mid/end of next year) it will be possible to assign a separte IP to every Port.
However, if you need now a solution you can use the left side extension AXC F XT ETH 1TX - 2403115.
This device adds an additional MAC to the system and you can configure it via PLCnext Engineer and/or directly via Linux (/etc/network/interface)

Thanks for your quick reply Frank.
I will try with the extension AXC F XT ETH 1TX - 2403115.

Have the functionality of addressing to the 2 ports separately been implemented?
On the 3152 i own i can setup a different ip on the 3 ethernets ports.
Unfortunately that feature - a dedicated IP address for each port on the one Ethernet adapter - was never implemented, and it is currently not scheduled. Sorry about that.
Alexandre is correct, the AXC F 3152 has three separate Ethernet adapters on board, so this is possible with that device.
However the AXC F 1152 and 2152 has only one Ethernet adapter with two switched ports, so not on that device (sorry).
Are there any updates for using the two ports as seperated interfaces supported by Phoenix?
So far I configured the interface as virtual one (which works more or less as suspected)
That feature - a dedicated IP address for each port on the one Ethernet adapter - is currently not scheduled.
Major upcoming features are always listed here:
