Does Phoenix VISU /SCADA / PLC has support for RTSP URL to display IP Camera footage in SCADA software?

    please give me more detailed information about your required project:

    1. Wich IDE and Version you are using (VISU /SCADA/PLCnext Engineer)?
    2. Wich PLC you would like to use in your project (PLCnext Controller or Classic PLC/ILC1xx/ILC3xx/AXC1xxx/AXC3xxx)?
    3. What is the goal of your application?
    4. If it is not a secret, for witch customer you realize the project ?

    The information required by you is  follows:-

    1. Which IDE and Version you are using (VISU /SCADA/PLCnext Engineer)?

          Visu+SCADA version 2.52.

    2. Which PLC you would like to use in your project (PLCnext Controller or Classic PLC/ILC1xx/ILC3xx/AXC1xxx/AXC3xxx)?

           ILC 131 ETH.

    3. What is the goal of your application?

        To view the CCTV live feed from IP cameras giving school gates view for smooth and safe operation of our school gates. The IP camera supports RTSP URL.

    4. If it is not a secret, for witch customer you realize the project ?

         Our vendor is doing this project for our school in Mumbai

    Can I get contact details of Mr. Avinash?

    As I am software professional,  I want to understand how technically this problem can be resolved. 

    I have read something about libCURL. I want to know whether with usage of libCURL, can this problem be resolved.

    Or  Whethere it is needed to convert RTSP to HTTP to get desired output

    Hi Suparna,

    I have sent Avinash an email asking him to get in touch. He is in contact with the people here in Germany who will be able to answer this question.

    If there is a solution in this case, it may be possible with Visu+, but the RTSP traffic will probably not be routed through the PLC. The ILC 131 ETH is not part of the PLCnext Technology ecosystem, and does not support libcurl in the same way as the AXC F 2152.

    It may be possible that there will be a solution using Visu+ SCADA directly, but Avinash will be able to help with that. Visu+ software is also not part of the PLCnext Technology ecosystem (which is the subject of this forum.  ;-)

    IP camera is as like cctv camera. Both are using for security purpose but I have been using IP camera in my hose OS but wanted to cctv camera software install in my OS but cctv installation failed problem occur. I could not understand that Ip and cctv camera both are working in same Os or not.

    Which device do you mean? On which device did you install the IP camera software, and on which device were you unable to install the CCTV software?
