Add additional ip-address permanently

Hi,
I can add additional IP-addresses via
sudo ifconfig eth0:0 192.168.50.102
However, after reboot it’s gone. Adding the IP to /etc/network/interface also has no effect.
Is there a way to make it stay permanently?
