Dear Team,
We are currently using the ASR library with AXC F 2152 controllers. Whenever we upload the program, the function block ASR_ContrRed_2152_5 shows error C404, even though the IP addresses are configured strictly as per the procedure mentioned in the documentation.
After performing a Type 1 reset and restarting the PLC, the same program runs without any issue. However, resetting the PLC every time after program upload is not a practical or recommended solution.
We kindly request you to provide a proper solution or recommended configuration change to avoid performing a reset after each download.
Looking forward to your guidance and support on this matter.
regards,
Jaya chandra.
Dear Jaya,
In order to analyse this matter more precisely, we would require the following information:
Which method do you use to set the IP address on the controller: NetNames, WBM or PLCnext Engineer?
Which IP addresses have you parameterised on the function block “ASR_ContrRed”?
In the event that the function block reports the error “C404” at the output parameter “wDiagCode”, what value does the output parameter “wAddDiagCode” then have?
Which firmware version is installed on your controller and which PLCnext Engineer version are you using?
Best regards,
Friedrich
Hi,
- Which method do you use to set the IP address on the controller: NetNames, WBM or PLCnext Engineer?- We use Netnames to set the ip addresses.
-
Which IP addresses have you parameterised on the function block “ASR_ContrRed”? - 97 and 98.
-
In the event that the function block reports the error “C404” at the output parameter “wDiagCode”, what value does the output parameter “wAddDiagCode” then have?
-
Which firmware version is installed on your controller and which PLCnext Engineer version are you using? - PLC firmware - 2024.6.0 and PLCnext Engineer Firmware - 2024.6
Looking forward to your guidance and support on this matter.
regards,
Jaya chandra.
Dear Jaya,
The ASR controller redundancy function block “ASR_ContrRed_2152” shows the proper error message, because this function block reads the configured IP-address, which is according to your screenshot from the WBM “10.10.10.1”. It looks like that on your PLCs the IP-address configuration is not stored permanently.
In order to resolve this issue please enter in the WBM of your PLCs the desired IP-Addresses and Subnet-Mask and press the button “Apply and reboot”. This action will store the IP-Address configuration permanently and the ASR controller redundancy function block “ASR_ContrRed_2152” will read the proper IP-settings.
Best regards,
Friedrich
