I’m trying out an AXC F 3152. First thing I wanted to do is set the IP address via the /etc/network/interfaces file. Upon saving changes and rebooting, the controller now fails to boot. After several minutes, there are no status lights. I attempted a type 2 factory reset with no luck. Any chance I can still recover this?
Hi Rob, If you are 100% sure that you are doing the Type 2 reset according to the procedure in the User Manual (below), and if you still cannot access the PLC on the default IP address … then that would be very strange. In that case I am afraid that there is no other option but to return the device to Phoenix Contact for examination and repair. Sorry for the trouble. Martin.
I did have an error in my first attempt of configuring the interfaces file. The good news is, I did eventually get it to boot after removing the ethernet connections at which point I was able to complete a type 2 reset. Thank you for the quick response.
