AXC F 3152 shows no status lights

I am working with an AXC F 3152 and after I changed its network settings
in the wbm it attempted to reboot but since then none of the status lights
show up and I cannot connect to it anymore.

I have tried to reset it by powering it off, pushing and holding the
reset button and powering it back on but it still shows nothing.

I then stumbled upon the section “Reset after changes in Overlay File System”
on the Known Issues page (https://www.plcnext.help/te/Known_issues.htm#firmware__opera)
where it states, that a reset may not be possible. Could this be the cause for my problem?

Unfortunately I don’t quite understand the given workaround:
“Only known workaround: Boot the controller with an external SD card,
copy the overlayFS to this external SD card and delete the overlayFS
on the controller after that.”

Can someone explain in more detail what is meant by this/what I should do?

Hello PHoffmann,
how long did you press the reset button?
The AXCF3152 boots significantly slower then the 2152.
Please press the Reset button until the Boot LED starts blinking and RUN and FAIL light up.
release the reset button after that all LEDs light up orange and the PLC will start the recovery.
kind regards,
Oliver

Hello!
Once upon a time, I geta the plc as a brick duering data transfer, while welding machine operate near by the electrical room. For some reasons, there was no result while I try to provide type 2 factory reset (It seems file system partition was damaged). And I have to eject internal sd card and launch standard file system check and restore Disks Utility from Ubuntu tools. For each ext3 partition on the sd-card. After that operation, it seems to be ok with plc and it’s project for two years already..
May be it can be helpful in your case.
Best regards

how long did you press the reset button?I pressed the reset button for well over a minute to no avail.

The solution of Okeksandr might solve the issue (although in my case there was no welding machine), but as I do not personally own the PLC I cannot open it and void its warranty.

Hello,
Is the boot LED lighting up at all?
When powering down the AXC F3152 you also have to wait a minute until the included UPS is emptied and the device realy has been shutdown before pressing RESET and powering up again…
The hint refers to using an ExternalSD instead of the Internal to boot the Firmware.
But if even the boot LED is not flashing at all this indicates that something is seriously wrong with the devices boot partition.
There might be no other solution but to send it in for repair to keep warranty.
kind regards,
Oliver
