Hello, I need to configure two separate IP addresses from two very different subnets in AXC F 2152. One subnet will be connected to 2152 itself and second to the XT ETH. Therefore in the PLCnE “Project > Settings” window I need to specify IP range for entire project. If the interfaces are connected to completely different networks, this setting is very troublesome. Is it possible to bypass this somehow?
The way I understand it is the project IP range defines the IP address range for the Profinet network. That way when IP addresses are “auto assigned” as devices are added to the project, they fall within the project IP range. The XT ETH extension becomes the port for the profinet controller so the project IP range should match the IP address for the XT ETH extension. Then the 2152 base IP address can then be something outside the IP range for the project.
Thanks! It seems to work in the way you described!
