Communication between PROFINET AXC F 2152 and ILC131ETH 01/442

Dear colleagues, I am working on a project involving communication between a profinet controller (AXC F 2152) and an ILC131ETH 01/442 profinet device. I am currently using the FW2020.0.1 LTS firmware, is it possible to perform this configuration? In the list of devices that allows me to configure the PLCnext Engineer ILC 131 ETH REV >= 1/4.0.0. At the time of the network scan I can not get the platform to recognize the device. Please help me.

Hello, Yes, this configuration is possible. Have you activated the ILC as a Profinet device, and restarted the ILC? ~ Martin.

I did, but in PLCnext Engineer I get the following warning:

OK, that seems to be progress … you can now see the device. Does Profinet communication work OK, even with this warning? ~ Martin.

I was unable to resolve the communication between the above-mentioned teams. Therefore I attach an image of the profinet diagnostic that the plcNext WBM gives me. I hope you can help me to solve this problem or see a firmware update for the ILC131ETH

Hello, Can you confirm that you have connected the process I/O data from the Profinet device (ILC) to variables in the Profinet Controller (AXC)? Have you changed the size of the process data area in the ILC? The default is 256 bytes, and there is no need to change this, but if you did change this then that may explain the behaviour you are seeing.

Dear Martin, I am enclosing pictures of the variable settings in both PLCs, maybe in the assignment and use of variables in PLCnext I might be wrong. Thank you very much for all the help.

Hi Luis, As you are probably aware, this is being dealt with internally (ref 00129517). Below is a copy of the latest information. ========= We have been unable to reproduce the problem you are seeing. The following steps are important:

                                               * Activate the PN-Device function in PC Worx
                                               * Create a new Array for PN-IO exchange (256 Byte)
                                               * Connect the right processdata in PLCnE
                                               * If you use the AXC_XT_ETH, you cannot use the onboard ETHs in PN Master functionality !

If this procedure doesn’t work, please attach the PLCnext Engineer and PC WORX projects to the internal ticket (ref 00129517).
