Communication PLCNext engineer with Visu+

What is the best way to communicate the variables in ‚PLCnext Engineer‘ with ‚Visu+‘, without physical connection to the PLC?

Can you clarify what you mean by a „physical connection“ ?
The OSI model requires a physical layer. Do you mean using a wireless LAN, rather than copper or fibre-optic cable? Or do you mean remote access, e.g. using a VPN?
Also, what device is running the Visu+ runtime? e.g. is it a PC, or a HMI panel?

Thanks for the quick reply!
I have programmed the HMI with Visu+ and PLCNext Engineer, and I would like to simulate their interaction without having the HMI or the PLC physically connected. Simulate everything from the PC. Is this possible?

It’s possible to simulate some of the features of a PLC on a PC, using the PLCnext Engineer Simulator:
Controller Simulation ');\n mywindow.document.close(); \n mywindow.focus();\n setTimeout(function () {\n mywindow.print();\n mywindow.close();\n }, 1000)\n return true;\n}\r\n\r\n\r\n The simulation includes an OPC UA server, so it should be possible to exchange data with a Visu+ project in the usual way.
As for whether it’s possible to run a Visu+ project on a PC, rather than on a HMI device - you will need to check this with the technical support people in your local Phoenix Contact office, or maybe someone in the Community has tried this and can let us know.
