Connection error before Reboot Hello dear Pheonix Contact Team. After detailed instructions from one of your colleagues, I tried to update the firmware. Everything worked fine up to the following error. Unfortunately, I can’t get any further now. I’m sending some screen shoots about my problem. Do you have any advice for me? Many thanks PLCNextSTARTER
Hey PLCNextSTARTER, the update of the firmware seems to be successfull, the Codemeter message comes from the licensing check from PLCnext Engineer. Can you give me some details which OS (key “windows” + “R” → winver) and PLCnext Engineer version you are using? Thanks, Frank
Hello, I noticed that the firmware was updated after all. I am now also using the latest version of the PLCEngineer. The sample program from the PhoenixContact homepage also seems to work. Unfortunately, my connection to the WBM still cannot be established. Many Thanks
Hi PLCnextstarter, that you can not call the WBM from the cockpit is strange. The normal behaviour is, that Engineer calls the default web browser with the configured IP of the device. So you should see at least your default browser should start (–> image WBM https_selfsigned). The warning occures as the PLC does use in delivery state a self signed certificated, this message can be at this stage ignored. Interesting would be the following:
[]Check if you’ve a default browser configured (windows settings) and be sure that it is a supported browser (chrome, firefox or another chromium based browser) []If this is the case and the WBM still does not start from the cockpit, please open the default browser and call the wbm manually → does it work?
At last, can you open the WBM with any other browser?
Take care, Frank
