Creating Makers Blog entry problem

Hello, It seems to be problems with creating Makers Blog entry - save button doesn’t work. Thanks.

Sorry, Dzmitry, since last week we’re having some trouble with the advanced editor that’s used in the Makers Blog. :frowning: After updating the 3rd party extension there’s a bug in it that’s affecting the call-up of the editor in the Community’s front end. We’re working on that, I’ll get back to you as soon as the bug is fixed (awaiting the solution within days now).

Hey Dzmitry, we’ve found finally the problem and enabled once again the makers blog function. So, I’m looking for your next entry :-9 Take care!

Hi Frank, I’ve written my first article, my next question how to link my GitHub based repository with PLCnext Technology project. It would be nice if you made some fork-like clone. Thanks a lot.

Hello Dzmitry, first of all nice idea. I also suggested to put the Makers Blogs on GitHub, to make it easier for others to contribute, write issues and work together on specific topics. But I think we are not forking your project. Instead we are going to create an own project in the official organisation and you could contribute the first HowTo. Regarding your HowTo, I see a lot of issues before we validate and accept it as an contribution. Which way do you prefer to get my suggestions, are issues on GIT ok for you?

Hello Marcel, It seems to be the best solution - so I wait from you creation an own how-to project inside your organization, next I make pull request to contribute my HowTo and you can correct my work using issues. Thanks.

Hello Dzmitry, instead of issues I send out an pull request with an update. To be flexible in the controller and firmware used, I do not recommend to use the Eclipse CDT build system. But probably you don’t want to build any components or programs used with the PLCnext Engineer. For this task we planned to include a new template in the PLCnCLI. It compiles projects without any PLCnext components or programs or use CMake, for this the SDKs have all build properties included. But CMake does not work properly with Eclipse CDT. An open Project for pull requests of HowTo in the PLCnext Organisation will come later. - Marcel

Love your simplistic style of explanation.
