Add an official dark theme for PLCnext Engineer.
Rationale:
Reduced eye strain during long engineering sessions
Better usability in low-light industrial environments
Consistency with modern development tools that already provide dark mode
Improved visual focus and contrast when working with large projects
Requested functionality:
Full dark UI theme (project tree, editors, dialogs, toolbars)
Proper syntax highlighting adapted for dark background
Consistent styling across all integrated tools
A native dark theme would improve ergonomics and align PLCnext Engineer with current engineering software standards.

This topic has been discussed over the years, here:
Is it possible to change the color theme in PLCnext Engineer? I want to change it to something that is much darker, and easier on the eyes, than the default color scheme. Thanks, -Jon
I am not aware of where this feature currently is on the priority list for the PLCnext Engineer developers.
I understand. Thank you for your reply. We’re still waiting for the dark theme, it’s really important.
I keep my PLC Next in a VM and set up the windows color filter to inverted and just toggle it as I go. an officially made dark mode would be so dang nice like CodeSYS has. For now inverted colors is a good work around to keep your retinas from burning out lol.
