Hi! I would like to be able to expand data types in variable table to see the structure without opening data types sheet. Both in global and local table. Also data types generated from function blocks would be nice to see. Is this a feature planned to be released in the future? Best regards Stefan
Hi Stefan, One work-around you can use is to right-click on the variable and select “Show Init Value Configuration”. Here, you can see the layout of structs etc. If this is not what you are looking for, I will check with the product manager. ~ Martin.
Hi Martin! Thanks for reply. I saw that and it is helpful, but if you want to use the drag drop function to work sheet that is not possible. Another feature that I am missing is to see comments when hoovering over variables from data type sheet and comments on variables in ST sheet. Maybe not so much in engineering stage but during maintenance, troubleshooting and code review it would be helpful. /Stefan

Hi Stefan, Some feedback from the PM on these features: - These features are already on the list of requirements. - Tooltips in ST will definitely come in the future, but unfortunately there is no schedule at the moment. - Unfolding UDT’s in variable grids is a much-wanted feature which has some implementation challenges given that UDTs can (potentially) have many thousands of member elements. Practical solutions are being investigated. I hope this information is useful. ~ Martin.
