I would like to completely delete all data on the PLCnext axcf2152. I have already tried factory reset type 1 and type 2 but the data on /dev/mmcblk0p6 and overlay always remain. How can I delete these data completely so that they are back to the factory settings? Kind Regards robo7795
Hi robo7795, sorry for the late reply. At least with the reset type 2 should be the golden image restored and the overlay (with the user/application data) deleted. The definition is as follows:
* Type 1 resetDeletes project folder, user configuration and IP/PN settings
* Type 2 resetRestores the golden Image (initial FW) and the complete overlay
You can call the reset via
sudo`` recover-plcnext 1 or 2.If the reset type 2 did not do the job, the following information would be helpful:
* which FW version are you using?
* what did you do exactly before?

Hallo Frank, My current firmware is 2020.6. I accidentally activated the external memory card in the WBM even though I didn’t have one. I was surprised that the overlay memory is not reset when I reset. That’s why I thought I had to do it separately. Best Regards robo7795
I have the same experience. When I make a Reset 2 on one of my AXC F 2152 with FW 2020.6.1 the firmware is not reseted to factory defaults. It always stays at the current version.
