- Is there a command line call that can start/stop the Profinet support ? 2) Is there a C++ function call that can start/stop the Profinet support ? In both case, I would find that kind of solution preferable to hacking the /etc/plcnext/AXCF2152.acf.settings in order to stop the “BF-C” and “BF-D” LEDS from flashing red. https://www.plcnext-community.net/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&view;=post&id;=696&Itemid;=221⟨=en The problem is when the service is stopped, it look impossible to modify a PLCnext address using PCWE. I would highly prefer the support staff to execute a command on a Linux console instead of logging as root to modify the AXCF2152.acf.settings file ! The best strategy I can guess: A) When starting up, my C++ program will automatically disable the Profinet support (no more red LED blinking) from the Initialize(void) function. B) When required to change a PLCnext IP address, the support staff execute the Linux commands to re-enable the Profinet support, and when the task is done, do the opposite. Thanks.
Hi Frederic, with the PC Worx Engineer version 7.3 with firmware 2.0 Profinet will be disabled when no Profinet device is configured. If there will be also an C++ API or command is for me currently unknown, but I’ll figure that out… Reg Frank
Hello Frederic, the option to switch the components on and off out of an C++ API or with the commandline interface is plant in a firmwarestep next year. So in the middle of the next year this functionality will be availible. Reg Alexander
